Oliver Reichenstein

CEO, information Architects (iA) (Tokyo)

Oliver Reichenstein was born in 1971. He learned programming as a computer kid in the early 80ies and studied Philosophy in Basel and Paris.

After working as interactive brand consultant for Interbrand Zintzmeyer & Lux for four years he moved to Japan in September 2003 and started from scratch. He launched information Architects in 2005 and became known for various articles on web typography, user experience design and the Web Trend Map.

Building a series of news sites such as tagesanzeiger.ch, zeit.de and krone.at over the last four years, iA is a one of the designer voices for what is currently discussed as “the future of news”.

Hailed as “one of the best-known design agencies in the world”, the iA blog and twitter feed is closely followed by the world’s design and digital opinion leaders.
iA runs offices in Zurich and Tokyo.
